SUPREME COMEDY COMING TO LIND LANE
Nambour Lind Lane Theatre's final production for 2006, Pizza Man, is set to deliver audiences plenty of laughs.
It's a hot summer evening and Julie (Naomi Clasohm) has had a bad day. Her boss made a pass at her and she turned him down. Consequently she has found herself out of a job.
Julie is broke and disillusioned, so she drinks and turns on the stereo full blast to make the pain go away.
Then Alice, her roommate (Robyn Courtney), comes home in the midst of an eating frenzy - her boyfriend has gone back to his wife, so Alice has turned to food in order to forget.
Julie suggests another way to vent their man-caused frustrations - they should pick a guy, any guy, and have their way with him.
Enter Eddie, a pizza delivery man (Tomas Passeggi), who agrees to come in and share a beer with them. The evening gets crazier, wilder, angrier….and very, very funny.
Pizza Man sees the return of Margaret McLay to the director's chair for the first time since the hit musical comedy La Cage Aux Folles, which opened the new Lind Lane Theatre in spectacular fashion in 2004.
Naomi Clasohm was last seen in the lead role of Mabel in this year's stunning musical, Mack and Mabel.
Tomas Passeggi was a Star Award nominee for his clever portrayal of Marcus Lycus in the multi-award winning 2005 production, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.
Audiences will remember Robyn Courtney from 2005's Best Comedy, Love Begins at Fifty.
With so much talent in such a small production team, this show promises to be something special… one comedy with the works, coming right up!
Pizza Man opens at Lind Lane Theatre, 16 Mitchell St Nambour, on November 15 and continues until December 2. For bookings call 54411814.
