Location: CCSA Hall, Caloundra,
On October 5th, Jim and Rhonda Cody will be very special guests for the last Pleasant Sunday Afternoon concert for 2008. Prior to moving to Brisbane, this couple was well known at the Caloundra Chorale - Jim, for his magnificent baritone voice, and Rhonda for her piano playing, singing and choir work. Jim will sing from his extensive repertoire, and together they will provide 4 separate items.
Other Artists are the popular Music Makers Band with singers Graeme Ensoll and Tess Rushton, Baritones Clif Palmer and Aart Schouten, Brisbane Conservatorium soprano Holly Morgan (singing Gilbert & Sullivan, Gershwin and Porter compositions), Violinist David Clark and his pianist wife Beth playing lively medleys, Singer/compere Bev Gourlay and also the brilliant pianist Neil Booth.
So, there will be instrumental numbers, plus solos and duets by excellent singers, all mixed together with plenty of humour. People are asked to wear a name tag, to help create a friendly atmosphere.
The Concert is on Sunday October 5th at 2pm in the CCSA Hall, Nutley St., Caloundra, and is probably the best value concert on the Coast. Admission at the door is only $9, and this includes afternoon tea. There is no need to book, just turn up in time to get a seat and buy a raffle ticket.
