Free skin damage scans postponed at local librariesSunshine Coast Council libraries and Queensland University of Technology's AusSun Research Laboratory have unfortunately had to postpone planned sun damage scans at various library locations across the region due to unforeseen circumstances.
Showing sun damage to the human face and creating a personal sun exposure history helps to increases awareness of sunsafety and its affects on you health.
The aims of the AusSun Scans are too:
*Provide information about the impact of the sun on skin
*Promote awareness of the importance of protecting the skin from the sun
*Deliver high impact and personally tailored information regarding individuals' existing exposure to sun damage.
What it is:
A free service wherein;
Photos of participants will be taken with a special UV camera to show sun damage. And make people aware of their exposure to the sun and how it is affecting them.
No diagnosis is given.
