Held in the creative hub of Eumundi, this workshop is for artists wanting to step into the world of public art and for established public art designers and fabricators to refine their skills and network with other artists on the Sunshine Coast.
Public Art Commissions: How to Approach Designing and Fabricating for Public Spaces
• What happens in a Public Art Commission (case Studies in Photographs).
• Key elements of a Public Art Commission (design brief, project stages, contracts, rates of pay).
• Responding to a design brief.
• Insurance, maintenance and decommissioning.
Hew Chee Fong, recipient of the inaugural Eumundi Sculpture Prize 2014 and Glen Manning, both locally, nationally and internationally renowned Public Art artists.
