Free Lectures and Demos
If you need some gardening advice, information or ideas then the Queensland Garden Expo is the place to go. There is a full program of free lectures and demonstrations on eight "live" stages every day covering a vast array of gardening topics.
The Question and Answer session held each day and hosted by a panel of gardening experts is always hugely popular. The Plant Clinic, centrally located near the nursery displays, is the place to go if you need some help with a gardening problem or help with identifying a plant and there are also a large number of Queensland Nursery and Garden Industry members on hand throughout the Expo to provide expert advice.

Landscape Garden Displays
The Landscaped Gardens this year will be outstanding! Some of the best designers and landscapers will be onsite to construct their very own full size garden for all visitors to marvel at!
The Garden Expo Landscape designs are always full of inspiration and ideas that you can take home and incorporate into your own garden design. Our expert landscapers will also be on hand with advice to help you create your garden paradise.
Gardeners and Gourmets
In many cultures gardening and cooking, and the social interaction of sharing these pastimes with friends and family, is an integral part of day to day living. The "Gardeners and Gourmets" stage is located opposite Expo Centre Stage. This is the place to head if you want some great tips on growing your own produce and how to turn it into delicious gourmet meals. Enjoy the gourmet experiences
This is the place to go for some free personal help with gardening problems and plant identification. A dedicated team of gardening experts will be on hand throughout the Garden Expo to answer your questions and give free personal advice.

Giant Kitchen Garden
If you have always wanted to know how you can make a difference to the environment in your own backyard then The Giant Kitchen Garden is a feature you should not miss. Incorporating a totally organic food court along with a fully planted sustainable garden constructed on site, the Giant Kitchen Garden is always a hive of activity. A full program of lectures, demonstrations and workshops runs on two stages in this area every day and there is a host of permaculture and organic gardening experts on hand to answer all your questions.
A huge success in it's first year in 2011, this is a feature that should be put on your "must see" list. This display and demonstration area, coordinated by the Sunshine Coast Council Environmental Operations department, demonstrates how you can create a biodiverse environment in your own back yard. There will be lots of information, 4 daily talks, interactive displays and advice on topics such as creating animal habitat, bush tucker, native bees and much more.
Floral Art Display
You will be inspired by the fantastic floral arrangements in the Annual Floral Design Competition and Display. Organised by the Nambour Floral Art Group, the competition attracts some fantastic entries each year and members of the group are on hand to answer any questions you may have. The Floral Design Competition is located upstairs in the Pavilion building just inside the Main Entrance.
If you would like to take part in the Floral Design Competition for 2013 we will have more information available closer to that time.
More than 12 different garden societies and clubs will be showcasing their group's activities with some fantastic displays. They will have representatives on site to answer your questions about their groups activities. Also not to be missed is the display of artworks by some of the Sunshine Coast’s finest Botanical Artists (centre Oval Marquee) and displays and demonstrations by some of the Sunshine Coast’s most talented potters.
Just For Kids
Enjoy the festival atmosphere of a great day out. There is a fabulous range of food on offer, including vegetarian and gluten free, surrounded by lots of shaded seating areas. Be entertained by stilt walkers, musicians and street performers and soak up the atmosphere.
There is also lots of free entertainment for the children, including a free children's playground with a giant slide, air castle and merry-go-round.
Be sure to catch 2 free shows daily on Saturday and Sunday with activities for kids of all ages.
