Queensland Regional Longboard Titles
Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast
Top Queensland Longboarders to Surf for Regional Titles this Weekend
Queensland's top longboarders will be surfing for Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast regional Titles this weekend for the Queensland Regional Longboard Titles. Surfers from teenagers to the over 50's will be looking not only to make their regional team to compete in the Queensland Longboard Titles, to be held on the Gold Coast on July 9-10, but to win a Gold or Sunshine Coast regional title.
The Open division will not be surfed due to a clash with the Australian Longboard Circuit (ALC), so both Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast Regional Titles will be surfed in conjunction with a longboard team's event to be held on the Gold Coast on the 29th of May.
Even though the Open surfers will not be competing, there will be some great surfing on offer for spectators on both coasts, some of the competitors in their 60's, have been surfing for over 40 years. The young and the old will be walking the plank, riding the hook, and hopefully get 10 toes on the nose this weekend.
Divisions surfing this weekend on both Gold and Sunshine Coast will be:
Under 18 Girls and boys, under 16 boys, and Men over 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60 years.
