REVIVE artworks on show October 18th, 2005
Noosa's highly original REVIVE recycled art course for the long-term unemployed will culminate later this month with a display in the foyer of the Noosa Library. Voluntary tutors and REVIVE founders Libby Bowen and Trish Macdonald say that all art pieces will be available for sale and the display will be open to the public from Monday, October 24 to Friday the 28th.
A parallel exhibition will be mounted from October 24th in Brite Side's recycle-friendly Tip Top Shop at Council's Landfill in Eumundi Road
Libby Bowen says the pieces at the Library will include some very funky furniture, paintings, sculpture, hand woven baskets and hand bags -- all made from recycled materials.
"Both exhibitions are well worth a visit, to see what amazing things can be made out of recycled materials and also to purchase some quite unique and beautiful Christmas gifts," she said. "All artworks will be for sale, and would-be purchasers should contact Trish Macdonald on 5455 5131."
