'Go Bush' this spring in Sunshine Coast parks and forests

Spring is the perfect time to get outdoors and find out what's happening in the bush. Take advantage of the spectacular scenery, wildflowers and wildlife in south-east Queensland's parks and forests by participating in a unique 'Go Bush' activity run by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

EPA ranger, Cheryl Thomson said the 'Go Bush' program catered for all ages and  provided an opportunity for people to discover the wonders of the natural world right on their doorstep.

"Activities are being held at Noosa, Glass House Mountains and Mooloolah River National Parks and Delicia Road Conservation Park, Linda Garrett section so people can experience a range of important natural habitats."

"Come on one of our very popular guided walks into the forest after dark to see what nocturnal animals are out and about and enjoy a cuppa with the rangers."

"Beautiful native plants such as hovea, boronia and wattle are flowering throughout spring.  Join a local ranger on a trail in Mooloolah River National Park for the chance to see these and many other native plants and animals in their natural setting."

"Bush Detectives and other activities especially for kids are also on offer as part of this exciting Go Bush holiday program," Miss Thomson said.

"Come along and join in the fun activities across the Sunshine Coast."
