There has probably never been such an important time for citizens – whether residents or ratepayers – to invest in a small amount of time to try to understand and respond to the many factors that could affect the future of this region.
Take advantage of the special opportunities that Cr Russell Green is offering through the series of forums that he is presenting, to help his community to become better informed and to gain a stronger understanding of relevant planning issues.

Council’s Draft Planning Scheme will help ensure our region can support growth while remaining a great place to live, work and play.
The new planning scheme will help council manage land use and development across the region in a sustainable way by creating a diverse economy that: encourages investment and jobs; preserves and enriches our unique towns, villages and neighbourhoods; prepares for growth in new communities; and protects our natural environment.
The static displays that have been held in Noosa Junction and Cooroy to-date have seen good attendance with over 80 people attending each session. The following issues were raised by residents and I will cover these issues and more in my upcoming information forums:
