LNP Senator for Queensland, Shadow Minister for Regional Development, Local Government and Water, and Leader of the Nationals in the Senate, Senator Barnaby Joyce will be in Caloundra this Thursday, 26th April 2012.
Meeting in Golden Beach with key stakeholders (including the Sunshine Coast Environment Council, community action groups, the fishing industry and recreational fishers) to discuss the health of Pumicestone Passage, the Shadow Minister for Water will listen to people’s concerns, most especially in regards to protecting our waterways.
Candidate for LNP Preselection for the federal seat of Fisher, Peta Simpson said, “We’re really pleased Senator Barnaby Joyce has scheduled a visit to the Sunshine Coast this Thursday. He’s a man passionate about the regions, passionate about good representation and passionate about the future of our country”.
“That’s why we’ve organised for the Shadow Minister for Water to meet with key interest groups who are very concerned about the future of Pumicestone Passage. Visiting the region the day after ANZAC Day, we’re also delighted at the opportunity to showcase the Caloundra RSL Sub-Branch’s restored Huey to Barnaby.”
