THE TEWANTIN NEIGHBOURHOOD GROUP of the Australian Sewing Guild Inc - known as The Guilded Lilies Sewing Circle, meet on the last Saturday of every month from 9.00am to 3.00pm at the Masonic Hall, cnr Toolar & Moorindil Street, Tewantin Qld. Next meeting is on Saturday, February 28th 2009 for this meeting Barbara will demonstrate setting in sleeves and corner for collars. You can bring along a garment you are making, or you can practise these skills on some of the shirts Pat is aiming to have cut-out as part of our sewing for the orphanage activity.
For the prospective new members, the group is made up of enthusiastic people, with varying skills from the novice to the specialist. Members bring their sewing machines, materials, lunch and in a friendly environment explore both basic dressmaking and decorative sewing techniques. So come along and enjoy a day out sharing/and learning sewing techniques as well as making new friends. New members always welcome.
If you are interested in becoming a member please phone Barbara Hawker on (07) 5474 2454.
