Some of the best emerging bands and artists in the local area will take to the stage alongside other home-grown and national acts as part of Creative Noosa's TOTALLY FREE Shout Out Loud - Youth Arts Festival, due to lift off at the Noosaville Lions Park, riverfront in Gympie Terrace, on Saturday June 3rd, from 11.00 am to 5.00 pm.

Katie Edmiston from Creative Noosa says the six-hour line-up will include MC Trey, Taste of Tea and Ghostboy, plus local/emerging bands and performers.  "Shout Out Loud is sure to be one of the best youth events on the Sunshine Coast this year," she predicts.

MC Trey (Sydney) is one of the queens of Aussie hip-hop.  Her unique style offers a fresh serve of positive, melodic and insightful rhymes and rhythms.  She has received high acclaim for a number of her albums, including regular airplay on Triple J and has entertained crowds both in Australia and internationally.  This is the one and only gig MC Trey will be doing on the Sunshine Coast.

Taste of Tea (Brisbane) features members from Pelusafunk - who have been setting the sunny coast groove on high for a number of years as regulars at Coolum Beach's Sol Bar.  Taste of Tea celebrates the collaboration between Pelusafunk and avante garde electronic artists Oil Logic, to create a concoction of drum 'n' bass, dub, space rock and modern groove injected dance music.

Ghostboy (Sunshine Coast) - His work has been described as a hybrid of street performance, poetry and spoken word.  Having performed at festivals and events nationally and internationally, Ghostboy has recently made the Sunshine Coast his home and has definitely made his mark as the leader of the highly popular Outsiders events.

More bands and performers are yet to be confirmed.  For further information, please contact Katie at Creative Noosa on 5472 0222 or email kedmiston@noosa.qld.gov.au
