'Smooth Groove' Riley Lee in Concert with Anthony Garcia

Riley Lee and Anthony Garcia will combine the ethereal sounds of the shakuhachi [Japanese bamboo flute] with the exciting resonances of the guitar in a concert entitled 'Smooth Groove'.
The concert will feature original compositions by both musicians, including solos and duets. At least one new work will be composed especially for the occasion, and premiered at the "Smooth Groove" concert.
The programme will also include a stunning variety of music by well-known composers such as Heitor Villa-Lobos, Ross Edwards and JS Bach. This first time collaboration by shakuhachi master Riley Lee and the exhilarating guitarist, Anthony Garcia is not to be missed
Riley Lee began playing the shakuhachi in 1971. He is the recipient of two of the oldest and most venerated lineages of traditional shakuhachi, which can be traced back to the Zen Buddhist komusô, or "priests of nothingness" of the
Riley's music is meditation. It has been used worldwide in yoga and tai chi classes, and by massage, acupuncture, and other bodywork therapists.
