The J Noosa’s free monthly musical event, Sound Feast’s May line-up has been announced.   Z Star Trinity (UK) the power trio return to The J’s stage. Featuring British-Trinidadian artist, multi-instrumentalist and producer Zee Gachette. Zee’s reputation as a live performer spans the globe, with performances on international stages to audiences of up to 250,000 including Bestival, Glastonbury, Womad, Showtime London Olympics, Arezzowave, Roskilde, Villa Ada, Polish Woodstock, Blues Passion and the Usada Jazz Festival.

Cigány Weaver continue to make their stamp on Australia’s vibrant live music scene and cement their place as a must-see band. Formed out of a love for the legendary partnership of Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grapelli, Cigány Weaver are one of Australia's most exciting gypsy-jazz ensembles. Their virtuosic and energetic live performances invoke everything from subtle toe-tapping to exuberant dance floor foot-stomping. Their sound is reminiscent of jazz Manouche, traditional swing and Romani music, interwoven with contemporary material from artists like Bjork, and the band’s reinterpretations of classics from popular culture.

Karl S Williams delivers his songs with utter conviction, weaving beautiful ballads, stomping delta hollers, soulful rhythm and knee slapping blues. Growing up in a nowhere rural river town gives one a certain affinity for the blues and the hard-life music of the American south. The seasonal rise and fall of the dark water, the bearded old trees that slump in the damp air and lopsided houses flaking off their foundations. Such visions inhabit the mind of Karl S. Williams and bleed through his music, which evokes the blues with peculiar authenticity.

From a little town North of Sydney, Fusion-Gypsy Niq Reefman is drawing attention across the globe.  Fans describe him as “Tim Minchin flying a trumpet through a thunderstorm” and his music as a “One-man-musical”.  His name translates to "Victory for the people", and he brings songs of beauty, mirth, camaraderie, inspiration and action to a world that craves the social zest of an Irish pub and the hopeful melodies of nature.

Sound Feast is an all ages event and everyone is welcome. There is a great community feeling to the event.  Hot food, full bar and seating is available.
