Classical music lovers are invited to a wonderful evening of classical music and culinary delights to be held at the Nambour Civic Centre on Friday 15 July!
The Southern Cross Soloists are celebrating 10 years of extraordinary music making. They are one of Australia's most respected and successful chamber ensembles. Director and clarinettist Paul Dean and bassoonist Leesa Dean are former Principal players with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra. Tania Frazer joined the ensemble after being the Principal oboist of the Israeli Symphony Orchestra. Lyric soprano Margaret Schindler lectures at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music as does horn player Peter Luff who is also Head of Brass. Pianist Kevin Power pursues a freelance career and is Chorus Master and Director of the Queensland Choir.
Famous for their skilful programming that never fails to charm, surprise and challenge, and for their unquestioned musicianship, the group's unique combination of oboe, clarinet, horn, bassoon, piano and soprano allows a variety of music in many genres to be performed. They will feature the works by Mozart, Gershwin, Weill, Kern and Beethoven.
Join the celebration with the Southern Cross Soloists and a three-course dinner served by award-winning caterers.
