On Sunday 9 October 2005 the Special Olympics Queensland Athletics State Games are being held at the University of the Sunshine Coast Chancellor Park.
This is a special year for all athletes as there will be 12 males and 12 females being selected to represent Queensland at the National Games next year being held on the Gold Coast. And from there, Australia will be represented in the Special Olympics World Summer Games being held in 2007 in Shanghai, China.
