Community members involved in sport and recreation are invited to
attend a series of workshops hosted by the Sunshine Coast Council and
the Queensland Government.
Division 9 Councillor Vivien Griffin, said that sport and recreation stakeholders such as coaches, instructors, officials, committee members, administrators and volunteers are encouraged to attend these free workshops to develop their skills and knowledge.
“We want to support sports and recreation clubs to be strong, resilient and sustainable,” Cr Griffin said.
“The three workshops will provide information to help with planning for the future of sport and recreational clubs.
“The first workshop, facilitated by industry professionals, is focused on business planning, succession planning and technology.
“Future workshops will focus on volunteer management and club management including administration and financials.”
The first workshop is on Monday 15 August from 6pm at the Richard Gowty Centre, St Andrews Anglican College, 40 Peregian Springs Drive, Peregian Springs.
