StreetWise' school hols 4/12/2006
Noosa's young skateboarders have 'StreetWise' skateboard clinics to look forward to during the school holidays.
Noosa Council and Skateboarding Australia are arranging a third round of 'StreetWise' coaching, to be held at Peregian Beach and Cooroy, with two two-hour sessions scheduled in January and a further one-hour follow-up in during the Easter break in April.
Two accredited coaches will conduct sessions at the Cooroy Skate Park, in Emerald Street on Saturday, January 13th and Tuesday, January 23rd, in addition to Monday, April 16th, catering to a maximum of 15 beginners from 8 to 10 am in the January sessions and from 8.00 to 9.00 am on April 16th.
The Peregian Beach Skate Park in Kingfisher Drive will host coaching clinics for beginners (again with a maximum of 15 participants) on the same dates, but times will be from 11.30 am to 1.30 pm on January 13th and 23rd, and from 10 to 11 am on April 16th.
Peregian Beach will also cater to more advanced skateboarders with intermediate two-hour coaching sessions on January 13th and 23rd, between 2.00 and 4.00 pm, and a follow-up Easter one-hour clinic on April 16th from 11.00 am to 12 noon. As Council is sponsoring the programme, participation costs just $10 for the total five hours of coaching - but as places are limited, it will be a case of first in best-dressed.
