There will be lucky door prizes and raffles with lots of prizes; on site refreshments, ample parking is available with ground floor disabled access.
Jennifer said: Stamp Collecting is a hobby providing a window to the past, present & future. Stamps of every country provide an insight into their historical, social, cultural, sporting, medical, technological and environmental backgrounds and provide marvelous insights for persons interested in what makes the 'world tick'.
Many people who collected stamps as a child, return to collecting later in life allowing them to enjoy a stimulating activity, with a group of enthusiastic club members. The Sunshine Coast Stamp Club is looking for new members.
Jennifer Waldroff announced that this year's fair will include: "A special feature on how members of the public can access Australia Post's "My Stamps" which allows you to insert an image directly into a stamp template to create a sheet of valid postal personalised stamps. There are 9 shapes available each with a different look for celebrating life's memorable moments."
Further Jennifer said:" Stamp Clubs, Stamp Fairs and Dealers are a great resource for collectors and for the community alike. It takes years to become an expert in Stamp Collecting. At the Fair the community can access experts all under one roof – FREE. If they have a collection and are wondering what it may be worth they can bring it along to the fair for an appraisal.
"An information table will be available at the Fair to provide information on how to join a Club, accessing My Stamps and information on care of your stamp collection and appraisals of existing collections." Jennifer said: I am looking forward to welcoming all visitors to the Stamp Fair.
