Sunshine Coast TAFE Diploma of Fine Arts students will be holding their graduating exhibition ‘Inspirare’ on Friday 25 November, 2011 at the Institute’s purpose built Noosa Arts Campus.
This energetic group of emerging artists have spent two years learning the most up to date techniques in painting, mixed media, drawing and ceramics and finally get to put their artwork to the test.
The budding artists, some of whom travel from the Caboolture region, are a multi-talented group with varied ages and ideas.
This exhibition showcases what a fertile region for creativity the Sunshine Coast is with the diverse styles on offer, there will be something for everyone who attends.
Already asserting their prowess, the exhibition will feature the two winners of this year’s inaugural Tertiary Art Prize and the winner of the Encouragement award at the Gympie’s Gold Rush Art Competition.
Councillor Lew Brennan attended the Tertiary Art Prize was impressed with the quality of work submitted. “The skills and ideas become more creative every year and it’s pleasing to see some of these artists holding their own in the contemporary art scene,” Councillor Brennan said.
