Sunshine Coast Tsunami Aid Appeal Concert
Bands from all over the Sunshine Coast will converge on the Nambour Civic Centre on 12th January to in bid to raise urgently needed money for the victims of the Asian Tsunami disaster. The concert will see headline acts such as Phil Emanuel and Bernie Flynn, Wendy and Hedi Kaal and popular local bands The Surf City Dare Devils and Quirk, plus many more. All money raised will go towards the victims of Tsunami disaster through CARE Australia.
Maroochy Shire Mayor Joe Natoli said council has donated the Civic Centre free of charge for the concert and is calling on everyone on the Sunshine Coast to come along and support the night. "This will be a great night of entertainment, and provide support for a much needed cause.
"We need to raise as much money as possible so we can help support and rebuild so many communities that have been destroyed by the Tsunami in Asia, Cr Natoli said. Local Sunshine Coast Businesses are also being encouraged to donate prizes for raffles on the night.
Tickets cost $15 and can be purchased at the Nambour Civic Centre.
