Tewantin has a rich history as the bustling commercial hub of the early timber industry with riverside mills supplying timber to paddle steamers from Brisbane. Local resident, George Pearce will guide you through the history of the Cobb and Co gateway to the Gympie Goldfields.
At end of walk, enjoy complimentary afternoon tea and peruse a collection of early photographs. Allow two and half hours.
Meet at old swimming baths by the skate bowl site next to Noosa Harbour Town, Tewantin at 1.00pm. If weather is too wet to walk, there will be a film and talk at same time in CWA hall next to Tewantin Post Office.

Gubbi Gubbi people including Dr Eve Fesl - At river mouth, meet on path on left hand side of road just before the end of The Spit near River Mouth.
All walks begin at 1.00pm. There is no need to book. Simply turn up.
