The 2011 Tropical Alternatives Film Festival (TAFF) features three locally made LGBTI documentaries, a local short film competition and the best of the Melbourne Queer Film Festival.
5pm - The Doctor's Wife 7pm- Tropical Intervals (light finger food), A film by Jonathan Duffy that explored the experiences of homosexual people living in rural and regional Australia through his lived story as a Doctor's wife in a country Queensland Town.
7:45pm - Taff Short Film Competition
9pm - You Should Meet My Son, Dir Keith Hartman. This is a comedy about a conservative Southern mum who discovers that her only son is gay. Determined that he won't go through life alone and miserable, she sets out to find him the perfect husband!
