The Australian Railway Historical Society - Qld Division - are dedicated to keeping the steam trains operating on Queensland Railways as a part of the Society Charter. The trains are chartered from the QR Heritage fleet and the onboard crew are all VOLUNTEERS. Money raised by these trips is used to maintain the Society (working steam train) Museum at Rosewood.

On Saturday 04 November 2006 Landsborough, Glass House Mts and Palmwoods will be visited by a steam train complete with the wooden carriages from the Heritage Fleet which were originally built in the early 1900s.
The train will be bringing tourists from Brisbane to visit the Sunshine Coast. Whilst the train is here there will be the opportunity for Sunshine Coast families to enjoy a train ride from Landsborough to Glass House Mts and/or to Palmwoods and return.
Seats will be sold on a strictly "first come / first served" basis and reservations can be made by phoning
5445 0308 during business hours Monday to Friday (9am - 5pm)
Shuttle # 1
Will depart Landsborough at 11.00 am for Glass House Mts and will be back in Landsborough at 12.30 pm.
Shuttle # 2
Will depart Landsborough at 1.00 pm for Palmwoods and will be back in Landsborough at 2.15 pm.
Fares are: per shuttle
Adults $18.00 children $10 ( 4 years to 15 years inclusive)
(children under 4 yrs are free but only 1 infant per adult permitted)
The trip is organised by the Australian Railway Historical Society and operated entirely by volunteers (other than the QR engine crew and guard)
