Rainee Skinner, is not only a university teacher and lecturer, professional speaker and MC, she is also an established professional actor and an award winning playwright.
Rainee, who was born and raised in Nambour, returned to the Coast to raise her children over fifteen years ago, after living in Sydney and performing with all the major theatre companies there. Since being back in Queensland, she has performed with many companies here and in Brisbane.
For the last ten years or so she has written and performed edgy cabarets with her good friend Glenda O’Sullivan. Glenda is teaming up with Rainee again, not to write or perform this time, but to direct her and some of their good friends in an award winning play, written by Rainee. It will be the first time that Rainee has performed in her own work and she is very excited by the prospect. “Rehearsals are going so well,” she said. “ It is a pleasure to work with the talented and dedicated. team of local actors, Stephen Moore, Jodie Bushby and Eileen Walder”.
