Art of Metal rocks The J
Screamo, thrash and metal music will rattle and pound the crowd at The J's National Youth Week wrap up concert, J Rock, being held on Friday 20 April from 7pm in Noosa Junction. The J Rock gig will be an all ages, alcohol and drug free event, with entry just $10 each.
Young hard core enthusiasts will revel in the clashing sounds of headline act, Brisbane based, 3piece 'Art Vandelay' and support acts from across the Sunshine Coast including 'Signal the Firing Squad', 'Gunsmith Johnny', 'A Cause to Unite and Half Cycle'.
With their star in the midst of rising rapidly, 'Art Vandelay' will fire off the excellent collection of post-hard core punk rock songs from their recently released, The Human Comedy, a debut album which has been labelled as 'one of the most accomplished local debuts of the year' by Blunt Magazine (Dec. 2006).
Some of the Sunshine Coast's best progressive extreme musicians, up and coming death metal band 'Signal the Firing Squad', 5 piece thrash boys 'Gunsmith Johnny', explosive 2-step hybrid band 'A Cause to Unite' and melodic metalists 'Half Cycle' will line up as support.
Interest in the Sunshine Coast's hard core music scene is thriving as young devotees flock to see original local bands perform within the genre.
