Curated by Noosa Regional Gallery, the exhibition is a retrospective examination of Paulson’s career as an artist, illustrator and lecturer. The art of David Paulson has taken many forms from sculpture, water colours, drawings and most notably paintings through to prints and illustrations.
From the sale of his first work at age seven, through to now with his later works, one a recent winning entry: Autumn Pool, Maleny in the Kenilworth Art Prize in 2010, with other works included in collections around the country and overseas. The exhibition will identify Paulson’s significant contribution, his long career whilst highlighting the impact he has made within the contemporary Australian art scene.
The Light of Time: Creeks, Pools and other stories by David Paulson, aims to display current and past works, some seen together for the first time, delivering an enduring survey collected for audience engagement and enjoyment.
