Fasten your rickshaws…The Gilbert & Sullivan company say farewell after 21 years with their critically acclaimed production of THE MIKADO!

After 21 years of Touring Australia, Promac Productions are now saying goodbye to their Gilbert & Sullivan productions with a farewell Australian tour of their most successful
production, The Mikado.

Starring the hilarious talents of comic baritone Brian Hannan as KoKo, the superb voice of international soprano Alison Jones as Yum Yum, the formidable acting of Opera Australia Mezzo Caroline Vercoe as Katisha, the commanding Philip Wheeldon as Pooh Bah and seasoned professional Christopher McKenna as Nanki Poo. All of this under the musical directorship of Victorian Opera’s Kathryn Day at the piano.

The Mikado promises to be just the ticket to end what has been one of Australia’s longest and most successful touring companies. Performed on a full touring set in superb costume, Promac Productions Mikado is full of surprises and fun for all ages. So come and join the Three Little maids, The Lord High Executioner and the Wandering Minstrel for a Mikado packed with loads of laughs and glorious tunes.

Directed by Opera Australia’s Hugh Halliday with additional lyrics by Philip Wheeldon
