20 July 2005 TOURISM BOARD BRIEFING IN NOOSAVILLE
If you're keen to hear what's being planned for tourism marketing and development in the Noosa region over the coming financial year, then you should not miss a special event being held in Noosaville next week.
The Noosa Community Tourism Board and Tourism Noosa will be holding a Business Plan Update and Board Networking Session next Wednesday 27th of July to outline the planned direction for tourism in Noosa over the next 12 months as well as an opportunity for attendees to provide feedback and input on strategies.
Tourism Noosa and Noosa Community Tourism Board CEO Phil Harman said that events such as this were an excellent way of ensuring that two-way communication continues to be a central part of tourism development in the region.
"Tourism Noosa is very keen to ensure that Noosa's tourism industry is aware of the major activities outlined in our business and marketing plans so that we can all plan for the year ahead in a cooperative way. Promotion of Noosa should be undertaken in a consistent and coordinated way to make sure our message into key markets is strong and clear.
"Similarly, we want to make sure that industry has the opportunity to provide Tourism Noosa with their views about our planned activities so that we all have ownership of the outcomes", Mr Harman said.
Next week's session will be the first in a series of briefings to be held throughout the Shire over the next quarter, with this briefing having a particular focus on strategies relevant to the Noosaville area.
There will also be a chance to meet with Board Members of Tourism Noosa and the Noosa Community Tourism Board.
