Rural Aid Appeal
Today, funds are raised with the sale of a specially designed extensive range of merchandise which all display the Appeal logo. The merchandise is sold on site at the Muster Appeal stall, at Tamworth Country Music Festival and also through extensive media support - last year, ABC Landline produced a 1-hour special, shown nationally on the Sunday of the Muster (viewing audience of over 600,000 people) which was rerun the next day - it was also featured in ABC Landline programs both before and following the event; WIN Television featured the Appeal in a national special aired November 8, on QTV 9 Brisbane and through Impaja network, repeated on WIN Network in January. An extensive national advertising campaign is conducted from October to March. Radio 4AAA and other media are currently advertising the Appeal.
