The swim course for all Triathlon Pink events are exactly the same.
You start from one side of the pool, at the very end. Then you will file in one after another into the water. Prior to jumping in to the water, you will need to make sure you cross the timing mat, otherwise we won't be able to give you a time at the end of the race!
Once you are in the water, you just need to swim to the swim buoy in front of you. Depending on which distance you are doing, you may only need to turn around one swim buoy i.e. the kids & short course turn around one buoy, medium course turn around three and the long course turn around five.
Participants in the ULTRA TriPink will complete the 300m swim (same format as the long course swim) then exit the pool and return to the start for a second 300m swim.
You will then exit the pool on the other side of the pool, but at the same end. You then make your way to the transition area!
The Sunshine Coast bike course is very simple, it's a hot dog shaped course and there are two turning points; one at both ends of the course. You will be riding up and down Sportsmans Parade.
All distances do an out and back, one lap course. Once exiting transition for the second time, you will need to stick to your left hand side during your run. You will run out of the stadium on to Sportsmans Parade, you will cross the road and head on to the footpath beside Lake Kawana. Along that path, your distance will have it's own turning point. You will then make your way back to the finish line, once you get back to where you started your run, you will make a left turn, which will take you around the field, and over the finish line.
Brooks Fun Run Pink
We have three distances available for those wishing to compete in Fun Run Pink.
• 5km (Men and women welcome)
• 2.5km (Men and women welcome)
• 1km (Kids only)
The fun run will start out on Sportsmans Parade. It is the same as the Triathlon Pink bike course; hot dog shaped with a turning point at each end of the course. The kids will have their own turning point on the road to turn around and head to the finish. The 2.5km runners do one complete lap of the course, and the 5km competitors complete two laps.
Once you arrive back at the start area after completing your required number of laps, there will be signs directing you through the gates into the stadium, on to the grass. Then you enter and run around the main field and across the finish line!
