The turtle hatchlings are ready to head out to sea.  The Sunshine Coast Regional Council are organising their annual Turtle Hatchlings Clean Up.  The actual clean up weekend will be the following weekend however as we need a bit more time, we are going to use the public holiday to hit the waters of Mountain Creek where we are constantly finding debris.  If we stop it before it gets out, then the turtles don't have to deal with it all, either on the beaches or out at sea.

So our event will be held on Monday 28th January at MSC Quota Park which is located on Cootamundra Drive, Mountain Creek.

Bring your Kayak, SUP or Canoe and help us clean up. If you don't have a craft you can hire one of ours for a very small fee (we need to maintain our new fleet so a small fee is now being charged to use our craft) To pre-register and book a craft, simply choose the ticket that refers to what you need and we will see you on the day. Ocean Crusaders will also provide our new rescue vessel on the day to support paddlers and swap bags of rubbish out.  If you are bringing your own craft, please still book a free BYO ticket so we know how many people are coming.

This is a fun family event and our team will conduct an audit on the debris on the day so if you don't want to get out on the water you can certainly help with that.

When you come to the park you will see us on the northern side of the park.  We have access to the park for our vehicle, however you will need to park on the street.  I will bring our trolley to transport craft across the park or you can launch next to the bridge and paddle around.

As per usual, we will provide all the cleaning gear, you just provide your sense of adventure.
