The VALLEY RATTLER goes BLUE in aid of PROSTATE CANCER research
This Saturday 4th September the VALLEY RATTLER will go blue all in the aid of prostate cancer research and awareness.
The fund raising special "Valley Rattler" will operate from Gympie to Amamoor and return and will be hauled by one of the Mary Valley Heritage Railway's steam locomotives complete with the train of original heritage carriages.
There is a special fare of $25 per adult and $12.50 for children under 14 years.
And so much is included with festivities commencing at 12 noon at the old Gympie
Included in the fare will be:
A BBQ sausage sandwich lunch
Music and entertainment on the platform
Steam train return fare Gympie / Amamoor / Gympie
Wine and cheese tasting at Dagun
Balloons for the children
Static display of Ulysses motor bikes ...
and everyone on board the train will need to keep a look-out for bushrangers !
The train will depart from Gympie at 1.15pm a SPECIAL TIME for this Saturday only
and on board has bar facilities that are fully licenced.
All moneys raised on the day are to be donated to the AUSTRALIAN PROSTATE CANCER RESEARCH CENTRE -- QUEENSLAND.
The special train is being organised by the Gympie and District Prostate Cancer Support Group a "not for profit" organisation that is affiliated with THE PROSTATE CANCER FOUNDATION OF AUSTRALIA as well being proudly associated with CANCER COUNCIL QUEENSLAND.
