Noted author to give book talk at Maroochydore Library
Venero Armanno to visit Maroochydore Library
The Friends of Maroochydore Library in conjunction with Maroochy Libraries are proud to announce an exclusive book talk and evening with international author Venero Armanno on Wednesday November 17 from 6pm to 8pm at Maroochydore Library.
Armanno is a familiar name on the Australian literary scene and has written numerous novels, plays and film-scripts. They include Jumping at the Moon, Lonely Hunter, Romeo of the Underworld, My Beautiful Friend, Strange Rain and more recently his best selling novel The Volcano, which is set in Sicily, which Armanno visited for the first time over 25 years ago. Claiming that he was so struck by the overwhelming presence of the volcano, Mt Etna, that The Volcano, based on this experience, simply had to be written. The author will be on hand to sign copies of his books and to talk about his books and writing, his works will be available for sale in the evening as well. Tickets available from Maroochydore Library for this event are just $10.00 and include nibbles and wine.
