Here is a little more about this months performers -
Hat Fitz and Itchy
Anyone who has seen Hat Fitz perform at one of his many festival appearances across Australia know how the big man can stir up an audience. With his wild frantic interpretations of early delta blues classics and self penned songs in tandem with drumming side kick Itchy he has built a reputation as a hard edged raw blues man.
On stage Itchy and Fitzy have an amazing telepathic communication that keeps the music tight while reaching seemingly out of control crescendos.
Few performers world wide, have been able to match the wild man approach to the delicate art of finger picking perfected by Hat Fitz. The recent success of The White Stripes etc. has seen great interest in guitar drum duos but none are able to match the fire and finesse of Hat Fitz & Itchy.
Every once in a while, through random chance or divine intervention, the world is given a gift in the form of a special talent. Such is the talent of Harii Bandhu, a special gift from the universe.
Harii writes songs about his experiences that relate directly to his heart and he travels constantly, singing and playing his guitar.
With his unique style and sound, it is hard to compare Harii to anyone else. Art, in whatever form, is a created sensory event which affects us on a deep, emotional, spiritual level. Harii Bandhu's songs not only vibrate the drums in your ears; he affects every molecule in your body, giving you a spiritual high that only a few artists have achieved in the past.
(Oh and … just for the record …Harii Bandhu IS one of my favourite musicians!)
Psychedelias is defiantly a Verrierdale favourite and are at their best playing the cream of pop rock from the 60s and 70s. Peter Koppes (the Church), Ben (Mr Showpony) McGregor, Steve Tracey, Roger Shaw, and Joye Campbell-Gibson (Krystal Sister), come together to form Psychedelia
Individually they all create original music, but when they get together as Psychedelia its party time. Its fun, they love it, and it shows!
We look forward to you joining us at the Full Moon Dance in less than two weeks!
