The Verrierdale Full Moon Dance has been around for over 20 years, however this year the dance has got a new groove. The next Full Moon Dance on Saturday 14th March will be the first of its kind with the long-running event getting a makeover including a new look, new sound and new live acts.
The event is now promoted by Malcolm Prendeville, Woodford Folk Festival's production guru of 20 years. He hopes to give the event a re-vamp while still maintaining the relaxed friendly atmosphere of the traditional Full Moon Dance.
OKA, headlining the night, have been described as one of Australia's hottest live acts. Their fusion of eclectic world sounds, roots, dub, reggae, jazz and organic electronica is like nothing you have ever heard before and guarantees to get the dance floor pumping!
Mick McCombe Band blend Soulful Slide, Funky Bass & Fresh Drum Beats with Heartfelt Lyrics. The trio of Sunshine Coast artists create a unique style of music some describe as a collision of rock, funk, folk and R&B.
You will also get to see the reggae classics of One Love and to top it all of Eames (DJ set) who will be starting the night and then creating a seamless set so the dance floor never stops!
Dancing isn't all there is to do at the Full Moon Dance, there will also be a variety of food and beverages available and it is a Licensed event. (18+ Only)
