Come and help Gympie Landcare celebrate Spring with the Welcome Spring! Community Tree Plant, 12th September 8am - 12pm.
Deep Creek known for its gold mining in previous years, has been revegetated back to the riparian revegetation originally found along this section. The growth of this site has been wonderful with almost full coverage being achieved.
This Spring welcome will be an enrichment planting designed to add diversity to the site and improve on the existing habitat.
Gympie Landcare would love your help to improve this highly visible section of the creek along the Bruce Highway and are calling for volunteers, great and small to openly Welcome Spring! All you have to do is bring a hat, gloves, sunscreen, water, sturdy boots and a big smile. Gympie Landcare will provide a BBQ lunch, water, sunscreen and a beautiful area to spend your Sunday morning.
The site is located on the corner of the Bruce Highway and Bridge St, just South of Gympie and the Inglewood Bridge, before the Mary Valley overpass. The site will be well signed along the highway so you can't miss it.
