Veteran actor, Keith Souter, says his next role as Flash Harry in Wind in the Willows, is a wonderful part. In the past couple of years Keith has mixed his adult stage roles with a spate of villains in Indee children’s shows.
From the pirate Smee in Peter Pan to an Ugly Sister in Cinderella, Keith’s enjoyed them all, but he says Flash Harry is something different.
”Harry is a super salesman who sells cars to Mr. Toad. Each colour is a dearer price, even though they’re the same model. Harry is funny and he’s fun to play.”
Keith will be joined by another Indee veteran, Debbie Pitura who will take on the role of Mr. Toad in the September school holidays production.
Her association with Indee youth theatre productions has included the pantomimes Cinderella, Peter Pan, Wizard of Oz, Alice In Wonderland and Robin Hood. Also in the adult line-up is Ruth Montgomery as Ellery, Toad’s Personal Elf. Members of the highly talented Indee Young Players will fill out the rest of the roles
