A-5, 6, 7, 8! The hottest show to hit the Coast is set to get toes tapping when A Chorus Line the Musical takes to The J stage in February 2018.
A Chorus Line, winner of 9 Tony Awards and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, is one of the longest running shows on Broadway. And when 23 professional performers, supported by a 16 piece band, take to the stage in 2018, Coast's audiences will be set to experience the magic that has made this one of the most beloved musicals of all time.
A Chorus Line is being staged by none other than the Coast's own professional theatre company, Mad About Theatre, who brought Chicago to audiences earlier in 2017.
"We had such amazing support and success with our production of Chicago earlier this year," said A Chorus Line Director Madison Thew-Keyworth, "We are so thrilled to be able to return to the Coast stages in 2018 and to bring such a phenomenal cast and crew together. A QPAC quality show, right here on our doorstep, and for only $45!"
The cast will feature a host of local professionals, as well as graduates from the prestigious WAPPA and QLD Conservatorium.
"One of our returning cast members, who appeared in Chicago, Mr Eli Cooper, will be coming straight from his role as The Scarecrow in the current National Tour of The Wizard of Oz, to join us for A Chorus Line. It's a real treat as a Director to be able to work with such an incredible cast," said Madison.
The show will preview at The J Noosa on Wednesday 14th February, before officially opening on Thursday 15th, with shows through to Saturday 17th, before heading to The Events Centre, Caloundra for the 22nd – 25th February 2018.
Tickets for Noosa performances (14th – 17th February) are on sale through The J's website – www.thej.com.au and for Caloundra performances (22nd – 25th February) through www.theeventscentre.com.au Tickets are from $45.
