The LNP welcomes any action that protects victims and vulnerable kids against cyberbullying.
Tragically, we've seen too many cases of suicide or self-harm and victims feel that they have nowhere to turn.
It's important that our laws and policies keep pace with modern technology and its use in society.
The LNP contributed to the anti-cyberbullying taskforce with representation by Michael Crandon, Member for Coomera, and public hearings around Queensland were well supported by our MPs.
This is an issue that is above politics and we have continued to provide bipartisan support.
We look forward to the full release of the report and urge the Palaszczuk Government to implement its recommendations as a priority.
It's now time to take strong action to address cyberbullying in Queensland.
