If you would like to find out about the changes to the funding model for people living with a disability, make sure you attend one of the free Sunshine Coast Council supported National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) sessions.

They will be happening across the region throughout October and November.

The NDIS is the new way of providing support for people with a disability, their families and carers in Australia.

It will provide around 460,000 Australians under the age of 65 living with a permanent and significant disability with the reasonable and necessary supports they need to live their fullest life.

This is your chance to listen to a range of guest speakers who will provide an overview of what the NDIS means for people who currently receive government funding, and for recipients under the new scheme.

Sunshine Coast Libraries’ sessions

Join Kym and Jo from 121 Care Inc. to find out if you are eligible for assistance, what the next steps are, learn how to access the new NDIS system and where to get further help.
