As part of the 2020 programme to celebrate the 50th Golden Anniversary of Noosa Arts Theatre, a season of previous winners of the One Act Playwriting Competition will be presented during February next year, tentative dates 13,14,20,21 evenings and 15,16,22 matinees.
This competition began in 1979 and the following chosen plays won either best script or the audience choice award.
"Travellers Through the Night", written by Nancy Cato. This was the winner of the inaugural competition in 1978.

"The Eulogy", written by John Cundill. 2008
Russell Hamilton-Myrtons, scion of a powerful Queensland dynasty, surprises his dying mother, Meredith, with a preview of the eulogy he intends to deliver at her funeral. The uncomfortable exercise unearths dark family secrets which completely transform the mother/son relationship.

Sisters Amanda and Carolyn didn't expect to have much more than blinding headaches on the morning after their big night out on the town. But finding a naked, young man passed out on their couch makes you ask the question – what the Hell did you do last night? If only they could remember.....
