Federal Member for Wide Bay, Llew O’Brien has extended the closing date for expressions of interest for the Coalition Government’s Armistice Centenary Grants to Friday, December 1, 2017.

“I encourage Wide Bay ex-service organisations and community groups to take advantage of this date extension to submit expressions of interest for funding for special commemorative projects to mark the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War in 2018,” Mr O’Brien said.

Funding from $3,000 to $50,000 is available within the Wide Bay electorate to support local community projects and activities which commemorate the end of the First World War and remember Australian service men and women from all conflicts.

Up to $50,000 in total is available to organisations for projects in Wide Bay.

The expressions of interest will be considered by a local committee and successful organisations will be invited to apply for funding.  Expressions of interest should be emailed to Llew.OBrien.MP@aph.gov.au by 5pm on 3 November 2017.

Organisations selected to apply for funding can submit their applications between 11 November 2017 and 28 February 2018.
