Combat Self Defence Noosa training tips: Shocking increase in violence

I’ve been looking into the possibility that as the population increases so does the threat of violence against us. If violence does come your way then you had better be ready for it!

You could be attacked for no reason whatsoever apart from being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Most of these cowardly attackers may perceive you as a victim because of where you are and the way you are conducting yourself.

As I told the participants on my ‘Unarmed Combat Self Defence Course’ last Saturday: you need to implement self protection measures that include ‘Situational Awareness’ and the ability to fight your way out of an attack.

It’s pretty scary to monitor the news these days as there are so many stabbings, shootings and bashings all over the place.

A blade (Knife) is the preferred weapon of the thug on the streets and they are being used on a daily basis because a knife is:

  • Easy to conceal
  • Easy to use
  • Fast action
  • Has the ability to cut, slash, stab
  • Devastating results – serious injury or death

Just last week in five days, six women were killed in Australia by their male partners.

Shocking!

I don’t think the Police or security forces are able to protect each and every one of us because we are too many and they are too few.

It’s not their fault.

The Police must be so frustrated about what’s going on and with fewer numbers to get the job done of proper policing.

We need to take responsibility for ourselves and our families and friends by making the decision to learn self defence/self protection/self offence.

The first stage is to ensure that you are at a reasonable fitness and mobility level so that when you react to a perceived attacker you are on them fast and powerfully.

You shut them down so that they can’t move and it happens in the blink of an eye in your favour so that you can walk away safely and live another day!

Have a look at my new Combat Flexibility DVD here.

As we get older our speed, strength and mobility decline and in order to minimise this then you need a training routine like ours at Combat Self Defence to counter the effects of ageing.

Gunter is one of my students and even though he is seventy eight years old he always attends my classes and courses and has passed his two promotion assessments over the last eight months.

He is a powerful force to be reckoned with so look out if you think Gunter or any of our students are potential victims.

They are definitely not and if it kicks off then I know for sure that the attackers would get taken out!

So if you are in the Noosa area then come along to my classes.

If you are out of area then train with a reputable organisation and maybe have a look at my self defence DVDs and training books on my website available for download at any time.

Til next time.

Stay safe.
