When our community gathers, great things happen.

Last week, the Cooroy and Pomona Community Bank branches of Bendigo Bank hosted a gathering for their 2018/2019 sponsored groups at Saw and Mill restaurant in Cooroy.

Continuing to deliver on community outcomes remains the mantra for the local bank and new senior manager for Cooroy and Pomona, Simona Flavelle said the bank's commitment to the Noosa and the its hinterland is what Bendigo Bank is all about.

"I'm delighted to be back working in the hinterland and Darryl Edmonds has joined our Cooroy and Pomona branches management team at the same time. Last week, it was fantastic to share the room with locals who continue to make a difference in the hinterland through the work of their groups, clubs, organisations and schools," Simone said.

"Our sponsorships are in direct response to their projects, events and celebrations. We believe banking is about more than just profits. It's about helping to create a thriving community, and that's something that benefits all of us.

"The sponsorships are only possible through locals and local businesses banking with us. Our gathering of nearly 60 was about celebrating our partnerships and discussing how we can work together to deliver more great outcomes in the years ahead," Simone added.
