Sunshine Coast Police have had a great response from the public for Queensland Road Safety Week.

On Friday, August 31 Police officers together with staff from the Department of Transport and Main Roads Safety unit were at Noosa Civic Shopping Centre to help raise awareness of the importance of road safety and encourage everyone to think about their driving behaviour.

The shoppers were very interested in the information available and many of them took the opportunity to ask questions of the officers and TMR staff.

This wrapped up a big Queensland Road Safety Week which included our seniors forum and several school activities as well as enforcement activities.

Each day had a different focus including pedestrians, motorists, heavy vehicles, bicycle riders, and motorcyclists.

Sunshine Coast Police urge all road users to be follow the road rules, be patient and courteous and drive to the conditions.
