No doubt most of you are aware of Queensland's new container refund scheme, Containers for Change.  You can now return empty eligible drink containers to an approved container refund point and receive a 10c refund.

How about passing these 10c refunds on to support Noosa Arts Theatre?

Noosa Arts Theatre has registered with Containers for Change as a Not for Profit organisation.

This means you can donate your 10c refunds to NAT and you won't have  to go to the trouble of logging on and registering for your own ID.

Noosa Arts ID = C 1 0 0 0 6 9 0 0

All you need to do is remember the following three key steps.

Bag it: bag your containers using a multi-use plastic bag
Tag it: tag your containers using labels from your local container refund point, displaying your scheme ID and transaction ID
Drop it: drop off your containers at your local container refund point

Local container drop off points are located in all Broomhill Op shops and some other charity shops.

Are you wondering which containers are eligible?

Containers for Change mission is to help increase recycling and reduce the number of drink containers that litter our environment. Recycling efforts are focussed on drinks generally consumed away from home such as water bottles, soft drinks, flavoured milk, and squashed cans.

Refunds apply for most drink containers between 150ml and 3 ltrs.

Drinks such as cordial, plain milk, wine bottles and spirit bottles are excluded.

For more details on what is eligible and what is excluded go to.

Take a note of Noosa Arts ID for when you drop off you bag of cans etc.
