Coronavirus and your business

Published:

We understand the concern in the community regarding Coronavirus and the impact on the local economy and businesses.

Health authorities recommend we all keep going about our normal daily lives, but at the same time, continue to practice good health and hygiene. However, the current advice is to continue to be aware and informed about novel coronavirus - COVID-19 but not alarmed. The health authorities, as the lead agencies, are regularly updating the situation on these two websites www.health.qld.gov.au or www.health.gov.au as new information emerges. This provides all the necessary, factual information about Covid -19 and what steps your organisation should take during this time. Should the situation change, be assured, Noosa Council does have plans in place and we are taking all necessary steps to be prepared.

Preparing your Business

During this preparation phase, it may be timely for your business, or organisation to consider your own arrangements should action be required. Information relating to preparing your workplace is available at Worksafe QLD and the QLD Chamber of Commerce

Industry Support

Given the impact on the economy, both Federal and State Governments are offering assistance for eligible businesses, including a relief package to defer lodging and payroll tax returns, cashflow support, grants, wage assistance plus more. For more information about the Industry Support packages visit the following:
