With the vision to create awareness, educate, empower and strengthen the community, council's Venue 114 today (November 12) launched the In Conversation series.

The first of four In Conversation events will take place on International Women's Day on Friday, March 8, 2019 and will feature guest speakers, Seven Network Presenter Jillian Whiting and Chairman of the Board of Directors, The Allison Baden-Clay Foundation Vanessa Fowler.

Vanessa is sister of the late Allison Baden-Clay who was tragically murdered by her husband, a victim of domestic violence in 2012.  Since Allison's death, Vanessa and her family have been committed to the formation and growth of the Foundation.

In Conversation will include a delicious grazing table style lunch by Something for Catering and beverages followed by a Q and A session and quality entertainment. The theme for the 2019 International Women's Day is More Power Together and this will be celebrated and resonate on the day.

Each In Conversation series will feature inspirational speakers from all walks of life, who will deliver engaging in-depth conversations about real life issues in our Sunshine Coast community.

Grab your 2019 diary to lock in the following dates:

  • Friday, March 8: Celebrating International Women's Day
