Get in quick to avoid missing out! That’s the message from NOOSA alive! - with the countdown now on til the festival kicks off this Friday 19 July.

Festival Producer Tim Loydell says,” With NOOSA alive! just around the corner, tickets to all events are moving quickly with the Opening Ceremony, the Saturday performance of the One-Act Play Festival, Kerry O'Brien In Conversation, and Best Medicine Stand-Up Comedy all completely booked out.

“There are only a handful of seats left for opening night Saturday 19 July at The J with the Modern Maori Quartet, and also for Tim Freedman on Saturday 20 July, Tim says.

“Both promise to be absolutely stand-out shows – so get in quick to book tickets online at or simply contact The J directly”.

“We're really pleased to see such a positive response to our events this year and are looking forward to full houses for all shows”, Tim says.

“Additional tickets released for festival favourites like the Queensland Ballet are being snapped up quickly, so we're urging everyone to get booking now to avoid missing out.”

MODERN MĀORI QUARTET – THAT’S US! | Friday 19 July: Inspired by New Zealand’s show-bands of the 60’s and 70’s, MMQ merge soul classics with the Māori tradition of storytelling. 

ONE-ACT PLAY FESTIVAL | Friday 19 July:  A fabulous feast of theatre presented by Noosa Arts Theatre and showcasing three one-act plays: ‘Black Matter’, Little Angels” and ‘A Messy Engagement’.

TIM FREEDMAN – LIVE AND INTIMATE | Saturday 20 July: Lead singer and songwriter of The Whitlams, Tim Freedman takes to the stage for a special solo performance.

YOUR WRITING LIFE - WORKSHOP | Sunday 21 July: An interactive workshop to hone your writing skills, sharpen your interest and set you on a pathway to practise and improvement.

FROM STORIES TO MARKET - DISCUSSION PANEL & BOOK LAUNCH | Sunday 21 July: A panel of publishing and writing experts will discuss the opportunities and challenges facing today’s writers, readers and publishers + the launch of Shelley Davidow’s book High Infidelity.

MICHAELA BURGER - A MIGRANT'S SON | Sunday 21 July: Award-winning cabaret star Michaela Burger and her riveting true story, A Migrant's Son, performed with Noosa's own amazing community choir, Noosa Chorale. 

SLOW FOOD WITH FILM - CHOCOLAT | Monday 22 July: Chefs Aden Moriarty from Noosa Springs, Matt Golinski from Peppers and Lisa Mahar from Makepeace Island will provide a three-course feast for the senses while you enjoy Chocolat.

AUSTRALIAN POETRY SLAM | Tuesday 23 July: Australian Poetry Slam is a live literary performance program where the audience decides the champion.

SAHARA BECK | Wednesday 24 July: After taking off with her soaring single ‘Here We Go Again’, bombshell Sahara Beck returns home to the Sunshine Coast for all-ages performance.

THOMAS E.S. KELLY – (MIS)CONCEIVE | Friday 26 July: High energy mash-up of traditional and contemporary dance style choreographed by the incredible Thomas E.S.Kelly. A fusion of hip hop, physical percussion and rhythmic cultural pattern.

GANZ A CAPELLA - HOME IS CALLING | Thursday 25 July: Direct from Berlin, the classical six-piece vocal group GANZ A Capella are showcasing their inspiring dedication to the power of voice.

THE UMBILICAL BROTHERS - SPEEDMOUSE | Friday 26 July: Australia's own comedic royalty, The Umbilical Brothers are performing their multi award-winning show SPEEDMOUSE. 

OPERA FUNK | Saturday 27 July:  Bel Canto Soprano singer/songwriter Emma Bridget Tomlinson presents OPERA FUNK accompanied by Sean Peter Ross and Peter Koppes (The Church).

NOOSA ORCHESTRA | Saturday 27 July: Conducted by maestro Antoni Bonetti and starring virtuoso clarinettist Sacha Gibbs-McPhee, along with soloists Cassandra Wright, Kristian Scott and Sarah Winn – who will be sharing famous opera arias.

MORPHE NOOSA | Saturday 27 July: An avant-garde immersion of hair, art, fashion and food!, Featuring runway creations from the region’s best amongst an exhibition of thought-provoking artworks by Raquel Ormella.

QUEENSLAND BALLET | Saturday 27 July: Returning to NOOSA alive! for two special performances produced specifically for the festival - witness the mastery of Queensland Ballet alive, including a Q&A session.

STARS OF TOMORROW | Sunday 28 July: Discover how dancers are made - from their first tentative moves at the barre to their first pointe shoes and dancing their first Swan Lake.

NOOSA alive! 2019 builds on the wonderful legacy established by its founding members including current patrons, David and Kristen Williamson who, for over 15 years, have brought the best of the performance world to Noosa – for all to enjoy. The festival brings world-class musicians, authors, dancers, artists, food events and more to Noosa for an amazing 10 days of arts and culture in Noosa – from Friday 19 July to Sunday 28 July.
